The performance of this set box on HD and standard-definition programming is quite excellent considering that it didn't come from the big players in the electronic industry like Samsung, Sharp, Sony, and LG. On DVDs that I played on it like Pirates of The Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, the skin tones remain as natural as possible, and accurate contrast was given on dark and bright scenes.
