When it comes to HDTV, I still think Samsung has the widest array of choices. As I was hunting for the next big thing in the SlimFit TV line, I came upon this new product. The Samsung TX-R3080WH is by far the all-in-one package I have ever laid my eyes on. You know that most slim television sets only measure 27 inches, right? Well, this baby can topple the competition with its 30 inches! Whew! You know what that means: I can see my football action series in full view, dude!
This HDTV lives up to its name of being SlimFit because it is only two-thirds deep compared to other flat screens. Of course, when we say it's HDTV, the resolution is superb and this model is no different. But the best thing about this particular model is that it is already equipped with its own pre-installed tuner, so nobody needs to buy a separate item anymore and no one would receive those poor transmissions with flickers. Being SlimFit does not also mean scrimping out on other features, so with Samsung TX-R3080WH, I already have complete ports, speakers, and tuner. Oh, and did I mention that with its size, I get to be efficient in home space, too?

Based on my previous blogs, I have written about articles regarding the impossibility of high definition television being the prime appliance in the household or the neighborhood attraction in your living room. I have nothing against HDTV nor the companies that create the gigantic television that I frequently mention in my blogs. It's just that the panic brought upon by these HDTV to the masses seem like we consumers will die without one of them placed on our dwellings.
Well, I must admit that there are times that I'm dreaming of building my own home theater with crisp Dolby digital sound and, sharp cinematic images. I'm not sour graping here, and as a matter of fact, I already have an HDTV from LG, but I rarely use it because 1080p resolution sources are not yet available in the nearest appliance store. Anyway, the issue on HDTV is as irritating as the small keypads of personal digital assistants because consumers are being forced by makers to grab their products as if they'll be a scarcity on HDTV in the near future. That's the only thing that I hate about makers and their giant TV sets because both of them are only good for future use.
And like what I've said in my recent blogs, HDTV resolution will only materialize if the local stations or networks will produce programs meant for HDTV. The British Broadcasting Company or BBC has expressed their interest in sensationalizing the HDTV programming with their first ever HDTV free broadcast this month. I think this creative effort by BBC is a part of their mission to give everyone an access to HDTV broadcasting. Let's just put our feet fingers cross for this endeavor to expedite the creation of the future world of HDTV.

Toshiba may not be held as high as Sony when it comes to home appliances but that doesn't mean they can produce quality products. Take Toshiba's 42 inches widescreen HDTV for example. This unit allows you to view television programs and movies like you were in the theater thanks to its 16:9 widescreen ratio. It features a 1024 by 768 pixel display that delivers magnificent motions that are fluid and lifelike. The noise is also reduced with its CableClear DNR digital noise reduction circuitry so radio noises are eliminated.
The product comes with a universal remote! How neat is that? One of the coolest features of this product is its commercial skip function. I know advertisements are important but that doesn't mean you can't just skip it right? The Toshiba 42 Inches Widescreen HDTV also comes equipped with 20W SoundStrip speaker system. So not only do you get fantastic audio from your HDTV, it also provides a cool design.
The product also delivers amazing color enhancement and high-tech details because of its 3D Y/C digital comb filter. The Adaptive Technology of Toshiba endows this widescreen TV adaptive MPEG processing capabilities and adaptive contrast and color enhancement.

If you want a television set that delivers top-notch High-Definition display, a good choice would be the Panasonic HDTV CT-30WX15. The Panasonic HDTV CT-30WX15 is a 30 inch flat screen TV and this baby delivers as good as any HDTV set out there in the market today. This television by Panasonic enhances the sharpness of the display and blocks unwanted noises, thanks to its Precision Picture Processing (P3) technology. With the P3 technology, the halo effects some HDTV’s have are effectively removed. This unit is also compatible with 1080i and 480p signals, giving you the privilege to have high definition pictures.
The video display of this unit is pretty tight. It may not be as good as the Sony XBR, but it costs half as much, making it a better choice dollar per dollar. Fine details are displayed for the CT-30WX15. You can readily see the cracks and lines in the concrete pavement, facial blemishes on the people like freckles and wrinkles and even the swirl marks on vehicles. The colors are also pretty much defined. The blacks are deep and shadowy and the whites are clear and not shaded gray.
